The Bottom Line – Climate Change and the American Economy
The U.S. suffered an estimated $300 billion in economic losses from extreme weather events in 2017. As part of Metcalf Institute's 2018 Annual Public lecture Series, Amir Jina, University of Chicago, presented the work of the Climate Impact Lab, which uses big data to forecast future damages from these impacts and inform effective fiscal policies.
