Report Links Climate Change With Mortality, Conflict, And Sexual Assault
A new report looks at how climate change impacts our well being. It examines how the changing climate is linked to everything from mortality rates to instances of sexual assault. For example, the research shows that “interpersonal violence increases with temperatures and sometimes low rainfall.” Solomon Hsiang, Lab co-director from UC Berkeley and one of the authors of the paper, joins us to discuss how research is evolving. Sol discusses how temperature affects the US economy and its greatest costs.
